Letter to Residents

Dear Friends and Neighbors,   

My name is Dennis Stevenson and Iin 2022, I was elected to return to the  Washington Township Board of Trustees. My entire adult life, I have believed in service to the community. I am a former reserve firefighter and former member of the Macomb County Sheriff Reserve Unit. Currently, I am Protect Service Officer for Macomb County assigned to the Romeo District Court. I am also a former Washington Township Trustee. 

I am proud to be part of a positive resotration of local government where citizens are listened to, respected, and valued.  We would not want our kids and grnadkids to bully one another. We would certainaly not want anyone to bully them. We should not allow behavior of any public offiical to bully residents. 

Elected officials are not elected to ignore those that elected them. They need to listen, they need to respond, and they need to take action according to what the residents and small business owners convey.   

• As a trustee, I will continue  listen to all the important issues the residents have.  

• As a trustee, I will never stop listening to the residents and will vote according to the feedback that I receive.   

• As a proud member of this community, I will continue to listen to the residents and speak up.
